Naeba Ski Resort is connected with neighbouring Kagura Ski Resort by Dragondola, Japan’s longest gondola. The entire area is called “Mt. Naeba”, which consists of 2 ski areas and has many fans from home and abroad. Many snow activities can be enjoyed by both children and adults, so even those who don't ski can have lots of fun. The resort has very convenient access from the Tokyo area as it takes just 2 and half hours by train or car.

Sightseeing

Yuzawa Onsen Area

A Traditional hot spring area near Echigo Yuzawa Station. You can enjoy shopping, gourmet experience, and hot springs.

Kagura Ski Resort

The appeal of this resort is the length of its season, which can be enjoyed from the first skiing in late November to spring skiing in late May.
Backcountry skiing in non-pressure areas is especially popular, with a wide repertoire of courses ranging from beginner to advanced.
During the green season, the Kakugura Summer Slopes and the Tashiro Ropeway are open for sightseeing in autumn foliage.

Hakkaisan Ski Resort

Hakkaisan has been fascinating many advanced riders with its dynamic trails from the top to the bottom. This area is well known as one of the heaviest snowfall regions in Japan and the powder skiing after snowfall is just perfect. You can enjoy the great views of the Japan Alps and the Sea of Japan from the summit. Enjoy traditional style Japanese inns and B&Bs around the base of the ski area.

Michi-no Eki “Takumi-no Sato”

You can try traditional Japanese craft making in a restored old village. There are several restaurants that offer good soba noodles.
